WAHA CUP TRYOUTS WILL BE MARCH 4th, 2008
The best players will be selected from each Region regardless of how many players may come from the same Tier II team.
The tryout will be open to any interested player.
The tryouts will be held at a central location within each region and be concluded in one night unless a Region has more than one tryout date. Check the WAHA website for tryout locations and times in your Region.
The best 17 players would be selected from each Region regardless of how many players may come from the same Tier II team.
The tryout will be open to any interested player.
If more than 60 players sign up in any one WAHA Region then an additional tryout date may be added in that Region.
Pre-registration for tryouts will close February 26, 2008. Same day registration is strongly discouraged.
On-line registration is available at wahacup.com.
There would be separate tryouts at each birth year: 1995 and 1996.
The players will play in the same classification that they played in during the 2007-2008 season. So if a skater played in his local club as a first year Pee Wee then he would tryout as a 1996 Pee Wee Minor. If a skater “played up” in age classification during the season they would not be eligible to play in the WAHA CUP until their birth year is eligible.
Area coaches will assist with the tryouts and selection.
Players will be evenly divided into light and dark WAHA CUP jerseys. All tryout jerseys will be numbered so the evaluators can identify the skater. The number on the jersey is the only identification that evaluators will have of any skater.
Regional teams would consist of 9 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies. |
